The Design and Construction of Comcast Technology Center Rising to become the tallest building in Philadelphia, the new Norman Foster designed Comcast Technology Center will forever change our city's skyline. The sixty story building will accommodate 1.3 million square feet of office space as well as a 200+ room hotel by Four Seasons. It will feature a 25,000 square foot winter garden at ground level and a restaurant/lounge at the top floor with 360 degree views of the city. The building will also become the new home to NBC 10 and Telemundo 62. This presentation will highlight the architectural and structural design as well as the challenges overcome during construction.

About Our Speakers: Andrew Blasetti is a Senior Associate at Thornton Tomasetti. Since joining Thornton Tomasetti in 2006, Andrew has gained experience in the structural analysis and design of a variety of building types ranging from educational facilities, residential buildings, and high-rise mixed-use developments. He is responsible for structural plan, analysis and design, preparation of drawings, and coordination and communication with outside consultants. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, and in 2016 was named ‘Top 20 Under 40' by ENR – Mid-Atlantic. Andrew and his team were featured by the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2014 for their work on the new Comcast Technology Center: http://www.philly.com/philly/hp/news_update/Engineers_on_the_rise.html. He graduated from Villanova University with his BSCE in 2004 and his MSCE in 2006. John Gattuso is Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Liberty Property Trust, one of the nation's largest real estate investment trusts specializing in office and industrial properties. At Liberty, Mr. Gattuso is responsible for operations in the cities of Philadelphia and Washington, DC. He is also responsible for the company's urban development projects. A native of the Philadelphia area, Mr. Gattuso joined Rouse and Associates, Liberty's predecessor, in 1987. At Liberty, Mr. Gattuso has been responsible for the development of 50 projects encompassing over 7.5 million square feet representing almost $3 billion in investment. In his current position, Mr. Gattuso has advocated a move toward sustainable and environmentally responsible development. Click here to read John's full biography.
